The Ladies Section currently has about 40 lady members with playing handicaps. Ladies who are learning, interested in learning or who support us in some way are also welcomed at Ladies Section events.
The section is run by its own committee consisting of a Lady Captain, Honorary Secretary, Treasurer, Competition Secretary and Handicap Secretary. Volunteers also help by supporting committee members or by taking responsibility for running the Halfway House, raffles and other activities.
We organise and run our own competitions, including some mixed competitions. We are fortunate to have excellent and generous sponsors for these events, some of whom have been sponsoring us for many years.
Ladies Morning is held every Thursday with 25 to 30 ladies playing each week. We normally play an 18 hole competition during the playing season (Oct to May) with more informal events through the summer. Regular events include individual Monthly Medal and monthly Stableford competitions as well as pairs and team formats.
Ladies handicaps are maintained in accordance with EGA regulations through our individual and Club membership of the Cyprus Golf Federation. This enables Ladies to participate in Open competitions at other golf clubs on the island. There are also keenly contested Interclub competitions.
