Minutes of the Committee Meeting held on 5th September 2008

1 Lady Captain
Thanked the Ladies for standing on the Committee for the forthcoming season; especially Penny Mulligan for coming forward as Competition Secretary as a result of Tony Pemberton returning to the UK.
The store cupboard in the Ladies toilet is now for the use of Sodexo
Anna the cleaner for the clubhouse has gone and her replacement is Marion Jones.
Renewal of Membership is due on the 1st October 2008; application forms are available on e.mail.

2 Sponsors
Lady Captain wishes to express her thanks to Brian Rance for obtaining sponsors for the Ladies Open and the All Winners who are The Blue Wave and Saki Shoes respectively.
The Sponsors Cocktail Party is 7th November 2008.
Nancy has collected vouchers from Florentia.
Money is to be collected from the Bike Shop for The Folkard Vase.
Thank you letters to be sent to the Sponsors who have kindly agreed to sponsor again, also advising them the date of the relevant Competition.
Follow up Sponsors who have not as yet replied.
As yet we do not have a Sponsor for the monthly medal.
3 Competitions
Monika Thornstrom will be representing the Ladies Section at CGF Tournament at Aphrodite Hills.
Prizes will continue to be Vouchers plus token presents; Nancy stated that she has already received offers of help from the Ladies section to help to shop for the presents. Morgan to speak with Lesley to arrange purchase of vouchers.
Qualification to the All Winners at the end of the season will be from the following competitions:-
Only Stroke play competitions not Stapleford
Medal – first and runner up
Bambos Cup
Brandy Cup
Club Championships – Winners Day 1, Day 2 and Overall Winner.
Arrangements to be made for the closure of the course with Morgan; also it has been agreed that to ensure that the Ladies have fresh browns for Competitions in the morning there will be an early start from 8.00am.
John Henry will be taking photographs of the winners of competitions, and is also complying a book of photographs for the club.
TPMH Open is Saturday 27th September 2008 e.mail to Ladies.
Hilary Ives Lady Captain Nicosia is happy to collate and arrange Inter Club; To be held at TPMH this season; however, Penny will chase up to confirm venue and date.
Good News
The Club has agreed to pay €170 towards the cost of transport to the Inter Club competition and € 170 for the away leg of the Rebecca Plate.
It was agreed that a coach would be preferable the Treasurer to arrange costing etc.
A Texas Scramble is to be held on Sunday 28th September 2008 a sign up sheet will be at the Club.
Chairman’s Putter is 5th October 2008. It is to be discussed with Brian Mellor as to whether the Ladies go out first or second and if food is going to be available.
To cover ancillary costs the Competition Fees for the Medal and Florentia will be €3.00; other Competitions may also attract an increase.
4 Coffee Morning
This will be held on the 2nd October 2008 at 11.30am. The water urn to be used we will purchase coffee, tea etc. any ladies wishing to bring cakes or biscuits will be gratefully received.
Nancy to obtain paper plates and napkins also cups!
Notice to be placed in Hive, Lion, Cessac, UKCA Club and Club House also to Nigel Rennie at BFBS.
Morgan to be invited to brief Ladies of the availability of lessons.
5 Monetary Contribution
As per the AGM the Ladies Section have agreed subject to costing to install a Solar Panel and pump in the Pond; Peter Parish is letting us have the final costing.
The pond is being drained by the Fire Service and a new liner is to be installed; also Brian Mellor has a contact for ducks.
The upgrading of the path between Clunies and McGill is being looked into.
6 AOB
Issue with regard to toilets whereby they are not open every morning.
Nancy will bring this up at the next Executive Meeting.
Medals:
Alternative day – Sign up on Mens Medal sheet, to go out after the men.
To be in divisions according to handicap: Division 1. 0-21 Division 2. 22-28 Division 3. 29 upwards. Draw of the divisions each month will be done in rotation for early start.
Slow Play: Time sheet to state that in the event of a hold up the following group must be called through.
Penny is to think about how she wishes to do the draw for competitions.
Ladies T&T Doubles K/O. Ladies will be allowed to choose their own partners.
Draw for all K/O’s will take place at 12 noon 30th October 2008.
